No matter the size of the project, I can help you develop a unique icon style, build hundreds or thousands of custom icon concepts, and scale it across a variety of sizes. By writing and executing macros, I can streamline workflows and automate design tasks, integrating them with Figma or Adobe Illustrator.
Why are my automation skills relevant to you? It allows me to operate at scale faster with fewer errors, so that you can prototype, ship, and deliver your beautiful custom icon library faster than you think possible.
I grew up overseas in Singapore, which gave me a multi-cultural experience that infuses my work. Iconography can be interpreted differently based on your location, so I like to be cognizant of that, especially since many of the companies I've worked with operate globally.
I graduated from Biola University with a B.F.A. in Design in 2016, and have been working as an iconographer ever since:
• I worked at Esri for 5 years on a small team of illustrators specializing in product iconography and illustration.
• Between 2021 and 2023, I did a series of contracts with companies like Twitter, Netflix, and Lingraphica, as well as several freelance projects in between. Later in the year, I worked with Sonos.
• In 2024, I started working at LinkedIn and had a quick contract with Netflix. I also handled a few more freelance contracts with Strava and Peerspace.
When I’m not designing icons, scripting macros, or writing articles, I love all assortments of other creative thinking hobbies. Whether it's baking or cooking, strategizing in a board game, rock climbing, or the next Dungeons and Dragons adventure, I love creative problem solving.
If you’d like to hire me for your next iconography project, inquire about my prices or services, or just chat about icons, I’d be delighted to hear from you!
I tend to spend a lot of time on LinkedIn, but free to follow or DM me on any of my social media platforms. Or if you prefer, you can always email me at grifflecuyer@gmail.com
